Pilates-based Physical Therapist

Biography:

Meredith’s background in movement began in dance class at the age of three. When her pre-professional experience in ballet came to an end, she was happy to discover Pilates as a method of movement that promotes health and longevity.

Meredith holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University, a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher. She completed The Pilates Center’s Advanced Teacher Training Program via InsideOut Body Therapies in Durham, NC, in 2017.

Informed by her background in physical therapy, Meredith uses the Pilates system as a tool to heal an injury in the context of the whole body. She believes that anyone can utilize Pilates as a means for holistic healing and preventative health care.

Meredith strives to utilize empathy and compassion to help others gain a greater understanding of their physicality, and to motivate others to take an active role in their recovery and overall health.
